MARIA SE MUEVE COMO UN PELIGROSO HURACAN HACIA LAS ISLAS VIRGENES Y PUERTO RICO

La Oficina Nacional de Meteorología (ONAMET), mantiene vigente un ALERTA por  condiciones de huracán desde La Isla Saona hasta Cabo Engaño (La Altagracia) y desde Cabo Engaño hasta Puerto Plata, así como un ALERTA por condiciones de tormenta tropical desde Puerto Plata hasta Bahía de Manzanillo (Monte Cristi).

UN ALERTA SIGNIFICA QUE AL MENOS UNO O DOS DE LOS EFECTOS PELIGROSOS ASOCIADOS A UN CICLON TROPICAL PUEDEN AFECTAR LAS ZONAS BAJO ALERTA EN 48 HORAS O MENOS, COMO SON LAS LLUVIAS FUERTES, VIENTOS FUERTES Y OLEAJES O MAREJADAS ANORMALES
